MNE founder, Matt Norris has an impressive pedigree in motorsport engineering. During a career that’s encompassed a range of two and four-wheeled racing formulas, he’s acquired a wealth of knowledge and experience.
Joining TWR as a trainee Engine Builder, Matt spent 22 years with the successful auto racing team. He progressed from engine builder, to workshop supervisor, holding positions in both the performance road and race engine divisions of the organisation, and travelling to many countries to provide race support.
Matt’s broad experience includes; Group C V12 and JV6 engines sports prototypes; European touring car; Indy Car V8 Infinity; Ducati WSB development; Aston Martin DB7 development & production; Jaguar XJ220; Superleague Formula; Nascar; Caparo and Norton motorcycles.
Having competed in Motocross for several years himself, Matt also spent 20 years preparing bikes for his son Luke who raced all through the schoolboy ranks from 50cc to youth, before competing in the Pro MX2 and Pro MX1 classes in the UK as well as competing in the European EMX250 class.
Matt is also very experienced in tig / mig welding, machining both lathe and milling machine, fabrication, air flow testing, rolling road development, NDT crack detection and Spintron development. He is fully conversant with computer technology, and has extensive knowledge in remapping fuel injection systems using GET and Vortex ignition systems. He is also very experienced in cylinder and cylinder head modifications.
